Nobody was waiting at the property, and there was no indication it is a hotel or a hotel apartment. Upon calling the given phone, I was instructed to walk a distance of at least 10 minutes, and to enter one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Athens, in order to get the keys of the apartment from another location (in Chilis street). Although I have been in bad neighborhoods in LA/Chicago/Boston, this was a much more dangerous place - shady illegal immigrants, drunk or drugged, looking into trash cans and approaching you to ask for money or to isolate you and steal you (according to reports, there is at least one incident of theft per day around Chilis street, despite the permanent police presence at Victoria square). Much worse, when I approached the location that was given as the place to pick up the keys, I passed through a number of old-fashioned dirty brothels (with a red light outside), and found out that the location given by the phone call was a ... brothel too! I instantly grabbed a cab and left, without putting myself in any more danger or slimy neighborhoods. If this is what you want (or what you would call) a "hotel" or "hotel apartments", go for it! Else (as is the case with my view on what these terms mean), don't put yourself in this disgusting and dangerous condition. Being a frequent international traveller, I felt a shame for Expedia calling this place a hotel and putting in danger the lives of its customers. Take this dangerous scam off your listings!

I booked a room via www.trivago.com from a company called Athens City Apartments & Hotel. The room was supposed to be in Ioulianou 47 Street, 10433 Athens but when I got in Athnes they gave me a room at filis 87 Street were the key collection was supposed to take place. In filis 87 was a hotel called Dionisos and filis is a street filled with brothels. If knew that I would stay in a street filled with brothels and not in Ioulianou 47 Street I wouldn't have booked the room. The online booking process and the information about the room was highly imperceptive. I offcorse refused to stay there and I demanded my money back but they told me that they could not refund me because the booking was made online by trivago witch redirected me to Expidia....

Athes cockroach hotels and bookings for the toilet
I have arrived to the adress which is mentioned. There is one door. If you are lucky the door is open. Then you can go and find the hotel. But it is nowhere. After you have search 4 etages you will see one sign is not usual. This is the adress of the right hotel. You go to this hotel if you find. After 10 minutes you are there, where the person tells you this is not the hotel you have booked. Then you go back to the other hotel and find your room which stinks of cigarettes but other way ok. You have to find the boiler switch and the after one hour you have water. The kitchen and bathrooms are ideal for luxus life of cockroaches. If you want hepatitis or other diseases. Here you are right.

This place is not bad and with lots of privacy, it was one of my favorite places I'd stayed at. It is very secure, I had 3 keys to get in, one for the front gate, one for the apartment compIex and one to get into my room. I stayed one night in room #3 and switched the next day to room #4 as room #3 is for smokers and was too smoky for me. My only complaint I had was I woke up the second day after being in room #4 for one night and I had 3 bite marks on my face. I am not sure what bit me but the bite marks where itchy. ... Besides that I really enjoyed my stay there...

A great stay in beautyful Athens
I am so happy that i choose this hotel. The staff is really nice and they make sure your stay is great. They gave us all the information that we need about where to go and what more things are there to see in Athens ( some things not everybody knows ) The rooms are big and very clean and the breakfast is just amazing. So much different things and all is fresh. The hotel is only a 3 minute walk from the metro station. From this metro station it is 2 stops ( about 5 minutes ) to the touristic center. I would really like to recommend this hotel.
