Avora Hotel, Da Nang

We thought the twin beds were the most comfortable mattresses we’ve slept on in three weeks in Vietnam and Thailand! The breakfast was good and the cooks had pho and eggs made on order in addition to the usual other things. We also really liked the location with easy access to walking along the river. Super nice staff!

Our room was on the third floor over the kitchen/breakfast area and pots started banging and chairs scraping at 5 AM. We asked for a fan for our room and that helped to screen the noise for the next two nights. They should consider putting little felt pads on the chair legs in the breakfast room so that they do not make noise. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were nice, and there were plug-ins by the bed. The only mirror was in the bathroom and the lighting in there was terrible for shaving or doing make up. The staff was not fluent in English and was unable to answer many of our questions or assist us with some things. They have a fabulous breakfast buffet with many items but you do need to go down before 9 AM because it is not replenished. Our first morning all we could get was toast and a fried egg. The location is convenient for the dragon bridge and the Han market.

The room is not exactly size they have post online. The Grand Suite is 431-sq-foot (40-sq-meter). It is around 325-sq-foot (32-sq-meter). The have only Queen size bed in the room. I could not sleep 1st night because I found hair around in the room on the bed and bath tub. It looked like they did not clean well. Breakfast is very simple, they do not have many choice. Some Item is gone if you come after 8:30 am.
