Best Western needs to up their game...
This is a great location, but not a lot of attention to detail. The lobby floor needed to be vacuumed when we arrived and there were spider webs all over the window in our room. This concerned me...because I wondered how much they were cleaning the bathroom. Also, they did not have fitted sheets on the bed. So if you are a restlesss sleeper, which my daughter is one, she was sleeping on the mattess in the morning. Was not happy about this fact. The elevator was not working...which was not a big deal for us, but, for older guests or people who may have a disability, this may be a problem. The front desk staff was very friendly. The pool was a little cold, but did not deter my kids to have a good time after a long day of walking through Colonial Williamsburg. I think if the hotel upped their game, this would be an excellent place to stay. But, as is, I am not sure I would book again.

    Old, dirty, night.
The hotel’s hall carpet was dirty and smelled when you stepped on it. The room was old and not very clean. The hotel is in need of renovation badly. The commode was old and low. The tub was old and had mold in the grout. The door jam and floor molding in the bath needs to be replaced. The hotel is outdated, dirty, and needs a full renovation! The room smelled of urine and dust and the carpet smelled dirty.

    A little bugged
The location was great, close to attractions and plenty of parking. The condition of the rooms left something to desire. Our room door was falling off the hinges and needed to be lifted up to open and close. The handle for the shower didnt work so it took 15 minutes to get a temp that wasnt either scolding or freezing cold. The thing that ruined our stay there was our last night staying there. It was 2am and i had a 10 hour drive ahead of me and i was awakened by a very large cockroach climbing down my leg in bed. I captured it and brought it to the front desk so it could be disposed of and got an ooops sorry. Couldnt sleep the rest of the night wondering if there were more hanging around. Even though the help was pleasant and location was good i dont think we will stay again.

The hotel was very nice. When we arrived we rec. little snack bags which my family loved. A negative was the lobby coffee machine didn't work to well. Also the side doors say that they lock after a certain time but they do not. I let my dog out at 1 a.m. and walked right back in without a key.

Not bad for what it is
Got there on Friday night, stayed through Monday morning. The elevator was out the whole time and we stayed on the 4th floor. Luckily we're a couple in our mid-30's/early 40's and could handle the steps. I wouldn't want to do that in 95 degree weather with kids, elderly or animals. The room was cleanish, but the refrigerator wasn't cleaned out before we checked-in and on Sunday night, we only had 1 towel and a couple washcloths and hand towels. They didn't replenish the toiletries, and the bed was sloppily made. The bathroom in the lobby looked like it had not been cleaned in a few days. We didn't eat there, so I can't comment on that. They did try to give us a BOGO free offer for breakfast for 10 dollars. I guess it was nice to have the option? The vending machine only had ginger-ale left. Everything else was sold out. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests. These days, when you get good service, you can overlook certain blemishes.
