Amazing location. Friendly staff and it is in a college dorm!

Terrible parking!!! It is not a hotel!!!
It is not a hotel. It is a dormitory of The George Brown College. The collefe rent rooms to travelers during summer vacation. The beds were not clean as much as hotel. And staffs are not professional hotel staffs. The biggest problem is parking! There is no parking lot the dormitory has. I had to park street meter parking or use municipal parking but the space is limited. I was not able to find a parking space and I had to find one spot for one and half hours. On the 2nd day I got a parking ticket too because of limited parking time and I had to repay every 7 and half hours.

Not recommended
Don't go here. Although neat and tidy but totally not worth it. I paid almost 170 per night and just so not worth it. It is very minimal in comfort and location is not good.

Staying in George
e were given a room on the top floor (9). The air conditioner and air circulation systems being on the roof ere running nonstop. I had a very difficult time falling sleep all night long with the noise from the system. I also noticed dust on the pillow cases and ended up switching the pillows with ones from 2nd room in our suite.

Great location, good room for the price
I was surprised that this was a student residence called “the George”. I understand that name is trademarked, so the property can’t use the name with regard to “hotels” thus the more generic Residence & Confeence center name. The property rents rooms during the summer. I am not sure if I missed this when I booked or if the description itself was lacking. That being said the room was adequate, nothing amazing. No coffee maker in room, but a fridge and microwave. Towels were Kind of rough and linens not ironed, do it appears that perhaps students are doing the laundry? I know those all may seem like negatives, but for the low cost I did not mind. The best thing is the proximity to the Brewery Distict, which has a good selection of restaurants.
