World class; no comparison.
I’ve stayed in hostels, in 11 different countries; this is singularly the best I’ve ever visited.

Clean, great location & staff, delicious breakfast
I stayed at Goodmorning Hostel for 4 nights at the beginning of a long multi-country journey. The entrance is inside a souvenir shop, which is a little strange at first but gives the whole check-in experience a bit of unique charm. (Don’t worry, this doesn’t stop you from coming and going as you wish during your stay). The staff were all extremely welcoming and accommodating. I arrived about 3 hours before standard checkin time and was given a bed right away. I stayed in a women’s dorm. There are lockers with built-in locks for each bunk. (Tip: you will need a 2€ coin for the locker, but you get it back in the end). The bedding was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the curtains around each bed. There was an outlet and light in each bunk. My only complaint was that there isn’t enough space between the bunks for the person on the lower bunk to sit up fully. The women’s bathroom was cleaned frequently. Some of stalls are very tiny. While I was there there was a problem with the plumbing in the women’s bathroom one night. It was a very minor nuisance that the bathroom was closed for a few hours overnight and into the morning while it was getting fixed, but the staff made a seamless transition, notifying guests to use the other available restrooms. And the problem was fixed quickly. The breakfast is excellent, with many options to choose from! Overall, this is a very clean hostel, with friendly staff and tons of perks like breakfast and happy hour with sangria and beer!

I am so fond of my experience here and changed how I view hostel life! I thought hostels were going to be loud where you'll meet thirsty gap year travelers and feel unrested due to no personal space. They debunked all these hostel myths. This was my first hostel I stayed at during my first solo female travel and I am so happy I chose this place! VERY CLEAN bedroom and bathroom! Bedroom = privacy curtain, personal light and storage with to rent! The shared spaces are warm and well-decorated, felt like a cool friend's living room with guitars, board games, movies and art supplies except theres a bar at the living room with free drinks during happy hour! The staff and volunteers do an AMAZING job getting everyone social, inviting them to play games, joining cooking classes, pub crawls, morning tours, or just kicking it at the couch. Its not always about drinking, but they make that fun too! I recommend the pub crawl! But let me tell you about MUSTACHE COOKING CLASS! This guy set such a warm and friendly vibe when I first got there.. He is amazing, was genuinely passionate about cooking, and he explained the whole city to me and another guest with a map of his personal recommendations when we first got there. Then he sent us the pics of us cooking AND the recipe. He gave legit cooking tips that I use at home today. I heard the walking tour with him was such a blast too that they played soccer at the beach after a visit to Sintra. He was such a memorable part of my stay!

My favourite hostel by far!
My favourite hostel - was here in Nov 2017 for 5 nights, and HAD to return in 2019! The hostel staff have been great throughout the years, you’ll somehow find that you’ll magically become friends! ♥️ They have great atmosphere, comfy spacious rooms, awesome common areas and arrange activities to encourage interaction amongst guests (if you so wish). Breakfast was excellent and included in the affordable price (awesome value) - I was gutted that I had to fly early and miss my last breakfast. 😅 Will definitely be back (again), mostly because I love them and they’ve ruined me for any other hostel. 😂
