One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in!!
There was 4 of us traveling and we had a very stressful day maneuvering the trains from Germany to Prague and I was stressed and tired. We finally make it to U Bile lilie and it was so wonderful. The girl at the front desk (forgive me for not remembering her name, I was so tired) was so nice. She made sure our keys worked, showed us around the property and even gave us some restaurant suggestions. She was wonderful after a long day. The room itself was HUGE! And really comfortable. And I think the bathroom was probably bigger than my first apartment. And the best part? The very best part? The floors in the giant bathroom are heated. And there's a big soaking tub. It was cold and rainy while we were in Prague and coming back to heated floors and a giant tub was amazing. The breakfast was very delicious and pleasant and everyone in the entire property was really friendly. It was also right in the middle of everything we wanted to see. A short walk to the castle, a short walk to the bridge, a short walk to the awesome faceless baby statues and the Kafka museum, and it's really close to a ton of great shopping and restaurants. It's a perfect place in a perfect neighborhood. I would definitely recommend it when you go to Prague.

The essential thing about this property is that, on the ground floor, there isn't conditioning. We came on a particularly muggy night to find our room with the window open (on the ground floor - a window with bars) and a room fan. A fan with a window open to a cobblestone street isn't what we were expecting for 144 euro a night. When I complained about the fact they had not mentioned the lack of air-conditioning, I was told that on "Booking.com," it's clearly indicated there is no air-conditioning on the ground floor because it's an old property (I'm sure there are many historic properties in Prague that have air). I told the young woman that we had booked through "Hotels.com" and that I wouldn't have booked the place for that price knowing I'd get a muggy room with bars and and open window (which meant you could hear every noise amplified on the cobblestone street even though the area is not very traveled). Fortunately, they moved us to a room on the 3rd floor which had very good air and was quiet. Be careful - they know about the problem. Before you book, make sure you book a room that has air and proper heat or book elsewhere.

Great service and good location.
This hotel is a converted orphanage renovated around 3 years ago. It is located in 'Lesser Town'about 8 minutes walk from the Charles Bridge and about 5 minutes from the Palace. In a city with so many 'boutique' hotels each needs to set themselves apart somehow. U Bile Lillie (roughly translated to 'near the white Lillie) excels at it's service. The staff could not be more accommodating and were always only too eager to help in any way they could. All staff spoke multiple languages including English, Russian and Czech which made things easy. The breakfast was plentiful and with all food cooked onsite in their kitchen, was fresh and varied every morning. The kitchen staff even catered specially for my wife with her Vegan requirements sourcing everything she needed and even asking her prior what she would like them to get in for her. We chose a 1 bedroom suite which was on the ground floor and although were quite worried about noise from the street outside found it no issue. WiFi was strong and quick and enabled me to work without interruption. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious and included safe, small bar fridge, closet and very comfortable bed. We found this hotel very good value for money and thank the staff sincerely for all their help during our stay.

Fantastic hotel! Best beds in Europe. Loved it!!!
Best room on our trip to Europe! We had the luxury suite, 1 bedroom, kitchen, with city view and it was beyond huge for what we really needed, but we enjoyed it regardless. The hotel is located in a quiet, narrow street, and is close to several embassies so security surrounding the area is more than other areas of the city. It was absolutely charming and so comfortable. Violetta welcomed us to the hotel and all of the staff were super friendly, professional, and helpful. My husband and I had a long trip to reach Prague and we actually slept 15 hours our second day at this hotel. We woke, had a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, and unintentionally went back to sleep in the comfortable bed. Pure bliss. The location of the hotel is about halfway between the bridge on the lower end of the hill and the castle at the top of the hill. There are several restaurants, mini markets, and places to souvenir shop within a block or two of the hotel. You really are surrounded by 'old world charm' everywhere you go in the neighborhood. The hotel features many photos of what it looked like before they renovated it into it's current beauty. The transformation is remarkable. (Word to the wise - the streets of Prague are not very user-friendly for people with mobility issues. Not a lot of flat spots to walk and the cobblestones are very uneven.) Overall we loved this hotel and would stay here again any time.

An oasis in a busy city
Absolutely loved the hotel. The room was large, warm, comfortable and quiet. Big windows with heavy, modern curtains, two flat screen TVs and a kettle for hot drinks. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality bedding. The shower room was clean, warm and good quality toiletries were supplied. The breakfast was very good,we had a good choice of items every day, and a choice of different teas and coffees. The staff were except, nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped us find some out of the way shops and even showed us how to find the cinema. The hotel was in a great location, a quiet area but within easy walking distance of all the sights and the castle. We will return!
