Yuzuya Ryokan

Absolutely incredible. The service is above and beyond. The room even had ice water jug for my evening return and Yuzu fruit to place in your bath simply fragrance. The location could not be anymore perfect. Dead center in Gion and right beside the main temple. The gardens inside are amazing and the breakfast also very authentic Japanese and amazing as well. I would stay again

Loved everything about my stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, service was impeccable, room was very nice and clean. Everything was outstanding.

The level of service was incredible, from the e-mails before my arrival to the first greeting, and every contact throughout my stay. The hospitality was matched by the incredibly charm of the place, both inside my room and in the dining room and hot bath. Also, the meals were exemplary, both in presentation and taste. I will certainly return to the Yuzuka when I am back in Kyoto.

Room was comfortable and clean with good amenities. Yuzu bath was relaxing. Friendly staff. Amazing location right next to yasaka shrine, I went for a walk in the shrine grounds at night and it was a nice and different experience

have been to Kyoto several times already, however, this ryokan still refreshes my image of this ancient city, the fantastic location, unforgettable dinning experience, everything of this ryokan made this trip a excellent memory.

This was the hi light of our trip! The staff made sure we had everything we needed, Beautiful place, quiet and tranquil. Loved the traditional bath with floating citrus fruit . It is butted up against the Yasaka Shrine and is central to Gion area.the 206 bus from Kyoto train stay takes you right in front of this wonderful place. If I could afford it I would stay here forever!

八坂神社前の大通りに面していると思えない静かな宿。京の町屋らしく設備も部屋も簡潔かつコンパクト。通りから建物まで石段を登り、客室まで狭い階段を登り…と風情はあるけどバリアフリーには程遠いので注意。宿のHPにもバリアフリーには触れてないので足腰弱い向きは宿に確認することをお勧めします。 食事はこのレベルの旅館で期待できるクオリティを満たしてると思います。朝夕とも食事処でいただくスタイル。大きな窓の向こうに坪庭があって、運がよければ八坂神社住まいのお猫様が偵察に現れるかも知れません。 サービスもレベル相応。適度な距離で接するという印象でした。なにか特別なリクエストをすればまた違う印象になるかもしれませんが。 全体的に、満足できる宿でした。

泊まってみたいと思っていた旅館の一つでした。 お部屋もとても掃除が行き届いており、スタッフの方も とても気持ちよく対応していただきました。 夕食・朝食も大変美味しく頂戴いたしました。 ただ、お部屋が少しくらいのと、テレビの位置が少し気になりました。
