Corner room was nice, but closet was locked, so could not hang up clothing nor access hair dryer. We thought the door was an entry to room next door, consequently was locked to prevent entry. Only when we asked for a hair dryer did we discover the luggage stand and area to hang clothes. Much nicer to not have to crawl around on the floor to get into suitcases.

Historical with Fabulous Service and Great Eats
The service here is fabulous. The housekeeping is okay but could use a few tweaks to be better. There were dust bunnies in the corners, and the bed was made on the sloppy side, sheets not tucked in all the way and the comforter twisted and rumpled between the footboard and the mattress. The room and bed were quite comfortable though. The room was nicely decorated, giving it a historical and boutique feel that was fitting for the history of the building. The bathroom was in need of updating but not so bad it was uncomfortable to use, and the windows needed replacing (There looked to be close to the originals if not the originals. The restaurant is pricey but outstanding and worth trying. The wifi would kick me offline every 30 minutes or so, so that was the most frustrating thing, but I was in and out so much that I didn't ask about it. While the hotel could use some updating and more attention to detail when cleaning, I would stay here again. The city is giving new life to the area, and there is a nice park to walk along the river.

Personable Charm
This hotel was a nice stay for a quick business trip. The staff was very communicative and quite helpful and answered all questions immediately which added quite a nice personal touch to the charm of this historic hotel.
