The hotel is in a transition. Customer service needs some work. Quite a few squeaky floors. Breakfast was not great. The location is fantastic

    Excellent staff.
Arrived late for a one night stay. Very courteous, cheerful and helpful staff greeted me. Room clean and comfortable, very comfortable bed. Good nights sleep! Breakfast excellent choice and quality and all-round, a very welcoming, polite and cheerful team of staff for whom nothing seems to be any trouble and make this an excellent stop-over for a night or more. Didn't stay in the area so can not comment on what there may be for visitors looking for a longer stay.

    A quick overnight stop.
Arriving into Prestwick on a late flight this hotel is convenient as just a short taxi ride from airport. Welcoming young man at reception, check in was promptly carried out, he informed us that there was a 60th birthday party going on but shouldn't be a problem with noise. He advised us there was no lift (but for anyone with mobility problems there are bedrooms on the ground floor) and as we were on the second floor directed us to the stairs. Our room was a standard double room and not very big but as it was only an overnight stop not really a problem for us. First impression was that it seemed clean as was bedding and towels. Comfortable bed. Small wardrobe, chest of drawers (hairdryer in drawer but no nozzle). There was a small table with a mirror over also a long mirror on back of door. The table had kettle, tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits, also a small bottle of water. Bathroom with modern fittings, complimentary toiletries, on closer inspection there were some marks on tiles (which had been missed) which came off with moistened tissue. Breakfast was included in room rate and consisted of cooked breakfast (choice of bacon, sausage, egg - fried, scrambled or poached, tomato, black pudding, potato scone). Help yourself to juices, cereals, bread for toasting, butter, jams. Tea and coffee on request. All staff were very pleasant and friendly.

We arrived very late and as we struggled out of a taxi the night manager/porter stood outside watching nut did nothing to help. He walked behind me into hotel still struggling but still offered no help. When I asked if there was a lift he said no "but I SUPPOSE I COULD HELP YOU" Breakfast was o.k but there was aminiscule piece o fish inside a lot of thick overdone batter at dinner it was s disgusting. This is a 3 star hotel and We consider it vastly overpriced for the standard . We would not return
