Very good location. Very nice staff.
I lived in Takadanobaba with my brother from 2008 to 2009. I made some really good friends and contacts there and fell in love with the neighborhood. I go back once a year to visit and I was so happy to find this place. The staff is very nice, helpful and accommodating. The facilities are very well kept, and the place is very clean. For myself, the location is perfect. Couldn't possibly be better. For the average Tokyo tourist, the location is still great! Takadanobaba Station is 2 minutes away. The Yamanote line is Tokyo's main loop line, then you have the Tozai subway line and the Seibu Shinjuku line which takes you out to Saitama. Takadanobaba is a wonderful neighborhood and is only a 4 or 5 minutes away from major Tokyo stations like Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, ect. I would highly recommend the Astro Station as a place to stay. I'm not even into Anime myself, but for those that are, I'm sure the place will be even better! Thank you to the staff for all their help!

You get what you pay for. A bed with very little extra space in the room. But it's clean, quiet and nice.

The shower and bathroom were nice. There's free soda/tea/coffee/water from 10:00 - 23:00. It's a quiet hostel, but you can hear everything. The bed was hard and creaked, so shifting positions made noise. The hallway light above the bed was kept on 2 out of the 3 nights I was there, so there was constant light in my face trying to sleep. It's in a good location next to the train station.

If you need somewhere just to sleep
1. It's on a third floor, if you have big luggage don't kill yourself trying to drag it up. 2.They have 3 or 5 lockers enough to put important stuff but i suggest you use a locker at the station it's safer there in my opinion. The JR station has a bigger locker then subway one but i don't think it's big enough for luggage. 3. The room is super small and seriously if someone want to steal something they could just climb up the dividers or crawl through the big hole under the "door" depends on what type of room you have. 4. The staff is nice but you have to call them using phone their provided at the "reception" 5. Bathroom is nice. They have shampoo and soap and all that for you. 6. They have a coffee corner and one manga shelf. 7. They have slippers and ear plugs and several small others things for you. 8. Location is good really close to station i like that like 3 mins walk 9. I guess japan is really safe that's why they open their door widely 24hours and people from the street if they know the place they could just come up and use the hostel bathroom and walk into the sleeping area. It's kind of scary to me maybe they never have a burgery problem that why they don't concern much about it.

駅近だが。。。
確かなことは駅からは本当に近い。それ以外についてだが若い子向けですね、一言でいうと。私は試験のため泊まったのだが部屋で勉強は全く無理であった。ご飯食べるのも無理であった。シャワーは日本ではありえないくらいみすぼらしい水圧で寒かった。これらの設備で４２００円は高過ぎる。タオルさえないのだ。 若い子たちが寝るだけであればいいとは思うがそれでももっと安くていいと思う。
