One night stay, would use this hotel again
Only stayed for one night but the room was warm, clean and the bathroom was huge. The windows were a bit draughty as they were the old wooden sash windows, in keeping with the style of the hotel, but with the curtains drawn it was fine. We both had a good nights sleep and actually slept in and unfortunately missed breakfast as they stop serving at 9.30 which is a lot earlier than other hotels I have stayed in. The young man on reception was friendly and efficient.

Hillcarter Hotel.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Shower wasn't very good. Works outside started at 7:30 and I had had a late arrival but that's not there fault. Once the works are complete the area should be a lot better but appears a little run down at the moment. Breakfast was Ok too.

Poor2.0
no one at reception
it all started bad a week before the stay at the hotel. I got a phone call from the hotel saying the card machine wasn't working and I have to pay cash when I check in. they had over a week to fix this and still wasn't working by the time I checked in. On check in no one was present at reception. you are asked to call a number and after calling numerous times no one answered. over an hour later some one comes to reception to check in the guests. the same thing happened that evening a group of people were waiting outside the hotel as no one was in reception. on the second day I get a knock on the door asking for payment in cash. I had to go out to the cash machine in order to pay the hotel.
