A wonderful end to our Morocco adventure
Difficult to get to as is in the old Medina but worth the effort. We parked on the main road near the port, called hotel and a gentleman from the hotel came and met us and helped us drive to hotel for unloading. We enjoyed being right in the Medina for exploring and shopping.. Family room was two rooms with bathrooms in between.and beds were comfortable. Service was great and both the evening meal and breakfast delicious. Taxi we had ordered for our departure was right on time. We would stay here again.

I felt like royalty at Palais Zahia.
I loved staying at Palais Zahia so much, I booked extra days to stay. By the time I had to go, I was so sad. I don't know how I can return to normal life, let alone another hotel after this. They have raised the bar to another level. Hospitality got redefined here. I 1st came for a hammam. It was amazing. (It was private and luxurious.) While waiting for my appt. I had a tea in the courtyard. I sat by the fireplace. Suddenly, logs were walked in and a fire was being built for me! I wasn't even a guest--yet. Palais Zahia is a heaven on earth -- more than a hotel, but an experience for mind, body and soul. I loved my stay and wish I could live there. If only the real world was this well, we'd all be in bliss. Best and most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. (As a reference, I've stayed at the Sunset Tower Hotel, Ritz Carlton, Movenpick, etc. None left an impression on me like Palais Zahia.)

My favorite hotel EVER!
I came to Tanger during a month of open travel, expecting to stay a week--but when I laid my eyes on Palais Zahia, it was love at first sight and I stayed longer. (I didn't see on the website when I first booked) I walked past PZ and was instantly taken by its beauty, every detail of its woodwork, the courtyard and architecture is breathtaking. I went in to book a hammam--which was so relaxing, I forget everything, but the feeling of, "ahhhh." Also, getting to see the entire hotel, I had to stay. Waking up and coming back to such a luxuriously beautiful place is a dream. You add a top of the line professional staff that is as warm & loving as family, without the drama, and like me, you'll never want to leave. I kept adding nights to my stay, because this is everything a hotel should be and more. Exceeded expectations over and over again. A hotel worth coming to Tanger for. Also, each room is different and based on a Tanger's history. The terrace is also a bonus & is lovely for watching the sunset. Stay here, you will love it and never forget it.

Amazing hotel, wonderful staff.
The hotel is very ornate and the staff is very helpful. It is in a very good location to walk the streets and alleys of the Medina. Easy to explore the Medina and shop with the locals, for fruits and pastry and souvenirs. It is only steps away from the gate to get down to the harbour, to catch a taxi, or the hop-on hop-off bus. We had breakfast and dinner included with hotel and that was wonderful.
