Very Disapppointed - secure your luggage!
In a country famous for its hospitality, we were embarrassed that THIS was our son-in-law's first experience of Albania. We do not recommend this hotel for any multi-day stays. If you are only staying 1 night and will check out before the rooms are cleaned, it may be fine. We booked 2 rooms here for a 5-night stay for us and our daughter and son-in-law. We lived in Albania for 9 years, were happy to find a hotel in "our old neighborhood" as this was the first time our son-in-law had been to Albania. It was fine until we came back to our rooms the second afternoon. During the day, someone had gone through all of our luggage, and 4 Euros was missing from our daughter's suitcase (the money was inside an eyeglasses case inside her suitcase). We immediately brought it to the attention of the staff at the front desk. They suggested that we had just misplaced the money, but they had no response as to why anyone would open our bags and go through them. We asked to cancel the rest of our reservation and leave the next morning, but they said they could not give us a refund (We had prepaid via a credit card). I then contacted Customer Service and they spoke with the hotel but were again told that they would not give us a refund. Rather than lose the money we had paid, we opted to empty our rooms each day, storing our bags in our vehicle. No manager ever spoke with us about the situation, only the two young ladies who were working the front desk, and that was it.

Worst experience ever
The experience has been terrible, the staff of the hotel were very very rude. The rooms were very dirty, we found hair in the sink and the toilet had stains. When we went for breakfast was no one there and we had to figure out by ourselves. A friend of us left his luggage in our room as he was leaving in the night of our stay, agreed with the receptionist. When we came back from dinner the new receptionist wanted to charge us for joining us in the room 1 hour while he was waiting for us. I have been travelling a lot for work and holiday, but never received such a bad treatment. I would never recommend this place to no one ever.

3 days in Tirana
Nice enough hotel, could do with a little touching up as in some areas it shows its age. Staff were very friendly and helpful and happy to let us check in 3 hours ahead of scheduled check-in time. Breakfast was mediocre but plenty of cafes within a few minutes walk. Handily located for Skandebeg square. Would book this hotel again next time I visit Tirana.

Near centre of Tirana.
It is quite old and the room was small, a single, with unusual raised floor section, presumably to cover communist era plumbing. Many with 2 X chromosomes will not like the bathroom, sexist but true. The bfast was OK. Parking might be an issue, a grumpy official from next door's Prosecution Office did not even like a temporary park while checking in. The turn into the street is easy to miss and then a hassle to find again even with GPS device because of oneway streets. Communication with local Albanians, although eager to help, was very difficult until young person with good English intervened. Front desk staff at hotel are nice and helpful.
