Honestly, the staff is the reason I choose to stay here. I wish management were more quid pro quo but front desk staff feel like friends, at this point. They’re great to my dog, Sir Watson, as well. The other lodgers all seem to have the same, laid-back & chill attitude. It’s walking distance to all the great places to eat & shop. A wine bar just opened around the corner, downstairs on the same block (before Pietro’s, where the old Subterranean used to be). Go see owner, Adolfo - he’s considering starting cribbage tournaments. Actually just added another night. Once, I nearly booked another, nearby hotel however, I could tell immediately the voice ‘greeting’ me on the other end wasn’t interested in getting to know the people and their dogs who would stay with them, tone was cold and standoffish. Book HRHotel. If you’re disappointed, I’ll eat these words. (It’s only a saying; pen and paper are as outdated as good manners.)
