I still wonder how it is possible to give to a client room without air-conditioner at the summer on 35 deg Celsius. Next day they changed my room and gave me normal air-conditioned room, but with water bed. Absolutely uncomfortable. Strange. Hotel in Germany?!?!?!?!

Hotel Steglitz International is in a great central spot in Steglitz, within walking distance of lots of great shopping and restaurants and right on the U-Bahn line (and not far from the S-Bahn) so access is easy to the rest of Berlin. The hotel staff were professional, and communicated well in English. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. The bathrooms in particular were very nice. The minibar in each room was also priced affordably (though with an Edeka with cheaper prices next door, there's no real reason to use it). However, there are a few downsides to the hotel. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and instead of a proper queen bed, it was two single beds pushed together. Also, there was no microwave or coffee maker in the rooms, so you'll be eating out every night if you have a multiple night stay. Also, the bathroom has a weird semi-transparent glass door that is both visible from the main room and from the hallway if the door is open. Unless you are a couple who is super comfortable watching each other use the bathroom, I imagine this would be quite awkward, especially if you are traveling with a non-intimate companion and sharing a room. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons here, but be informed that the hotel is a bit of an oddball.
