Overall nice stay
Very helpful staff. I’m lacto vegetarian, they had good options in breakfast buffet, they even made eggless bread on asking. I was very pleased. Location is nice, it is walking distance to subways (2 different subways i used), Kyoto station is far, taxi is recommended when with baggage. Rooms are small for big baggage.

Great downtown hotel in Kyoto! Would stay again
Comfortable hotel, right in downtown Kyoto - rooms could be slightly larger for two people as not a lot of space for luggage, but you don’t spend a lot of time in the room in Kyoto so it doesn’t matter.

Good option for a short stay in Kyoto
Overall a good hotel experience. We stayed for two nights, over the weekend. + It's very centrally located, walking distance to Gion (old town) and the Chion-in temple and also the Roppongi area with all the bars and izakayas. + The hotel itself is pretty new (it's ~2 years old) so the rooms feel clean and modern. Room, bathroom and spa amenities are good quality and cover every need you might have. Breakfast options are also wide and include both continental and Japanese courses. - We booked the garden room. The view of the garden with the bath is great, especially in the morning when the sun hits the garden. However, please be advised (it should be part of the room description too) that all garden rooms are in the basement floor, meaning that other that some light in the morning, the rooms are very dark. We would most probably choose a different room option next time. - The hotel doesn't seem to have any non-twin room options, at least not on hotels.com. Although they advertise it as fitting up to 4 people, it really barely fits 2, luggage included. Also, although the beds can move close to each other to revert to a big king bed, the hotel staff said they/we couldn't move the beds - not much flexibility there.

Great value in prime Kyoto location.
This hotel has good-sized rooms and comfortable modern design. The onsen was really cool too. We felt we got great value, especially for a central location in Kyoto.
