Exceptional 10.0
Excellent launch pad into Santiago
This is a top notch launch pad into Santiago. Very central. Hotel Sommelier is clean, & stylish. Lots of things to reach by foot. I'd go back on my next visit.

Very Good 8.0
Overall, nice stay.
Overall the stay was good. Nice hotel in a nice area. The only hiccup was that I had booked a suite and when we checked in, we were given a regular room DIRECTLY under A VERY noisy restaurant on the top floor of the hotel. But once I spoke up about that, we were given our suite. It's just strange that the hotel would give us a room we didn't book. By the way, the restaurant on the top floor is very good!

In the middle of all the action
The location was fabulous. But with the political upheaval we were right in the middle. The staff were extremely helpful and kept us guests safe I hope to go back and I would stay there again. Breakfasts were fabulous

Poor 2.0
Overly overestimated
I had a heater problem on the first day—-it was literally like standing outside in cold winter—-and wanted to cancel the reservation. The hotel said they could not refund the whole amount—I was aware that the hotel would take the first night fee as per cancellation policy but now they said they could not refund the whole 6 days of money because I already checked in. How would I have known they had a heater problem unless I checked in? The policy was absolutely absurd, the staff was blunt (not helpful), and the house keeping staff alreays forgot to replace amenities every day and I had to call the reception to get them at night.

Good 6.0
Good
The location is what makes this hotel a great choice, is very close to two stations and a short walking distance to many interest places in the central area of Santiago. The not so good experience for us was the room cleaning service. The first day they left the used towels folded as if they were new ones. They didn't change the bed for two days and we could easily tell because of a stain but I called front desk around 9:00 p.m. and they sent somebody to change it. We used the wine glasses at night to drink water and when we came back the following night the glasses were where we left them and not washed. That is a "no, no" for any hotel since what's more important is to have a clean and spotless room to relax after a long day of sightseeing. And what was terrible for a big coffee drinker as I am, is that they charge you if you use the coffee maker! I have been in many hotels and some even five star hotels and if they have a coffee maker in the room is for guests to use it free of charge, it's the first time that I see something like this. Breakfast was good even though they use such small plates for guests. It's a shame the food warmers don't seem to work so good because the food was always lukewarm and that is a problem for me, if it's hot breakfast, I want it hot.
