Looks nice from the pictures
We didn't get to stay at 41 A Townhouse Hotel due to a medical emergency. But the pictures looked nice, and we were really looking forward to it

A great choice in Reykjavik
We had a wonderful stay at 41 A Townhouse Hotel. The front desk staff -- and, in particular, Eva, was an absolute delight. She helped us secure taxis, dinner reservations, fixed our temperamental satellite TV connections, and even made sure we went to the right bus station for one of our day trips (pro tip: there are several in the city). The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and you can't beat the central location right in the heart of everything. Overall, a great place!

Great location, friendly staff, and lovely studios
Amazing location! Each room looked to be a little different set up. We loved our top floor studio. Perfect location right in the heart of downtown and the staff was super friendly!

Great hotel with some minor tradeoffs
This is a great no-nonsense hotel. The staff is friendly and the room is clean and comfortable. The room itself has plenty of extras if you're in for a bit of a longer stay (I was not). A few FYIs: (i) the front desk is not staffed 24/7, (ii) the front entrance is not obviously marked, especially when there is construction out front (there is construction all over in booming downtown Reykjavik right now), (iii) you are on the edge of the main party district so it can be louder late into the night. If you are a solo traveler or used to making your way around a few minor hurdles, these really are no big deal, as the location is great, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. One last quick caveat to those taking bus transfers to the airport, buses will not come down this street, even if you pay for pickup in front of your hotel. Make sure you make arrangements for alternative pickup locations ahead of time with your transfer company and discuss with the front desk staff when they're there (they may not be if you have an early/late flight).
