A Memorable Visit to the 1774 Inn!
Just finished a beautiful stay at the 1774 Inn. The Inn is a beautifully maintained historic home that captures the charm of the past with a perfect setting on the banks of the Kennebec River. Just a short drive away is the Popham State beach- a large sandy pristine beach. Stewart and Sarah are warm, welcoming and informative. The breakfast was wonderful featuring freshly baked scones, muffins and English muffins. Fruits and vegetables are straight from their garden. After a perfect breakfast we sat on Adirondack chairs gazing at the river and watching an eagle fly over the exquisite landscape.We had a memorable stay! Location terrific as you are slightly removed from Bath and Brunswick but within a close drive. Don't want to forget to mention the hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookies on our first night of arrival. Memorable!!!!
