Awesome stay - Great Breakfast!
This was the first time I've ever stayed at a Bed & Breakfast, so I didn't know what to expect. The owners were quite personable. The house had beautiful original wood work and stained glass. Antique glass wear and lamps filled the mantels and cabinets in a beautiful rainbow display. My favorite part, however, was the very tasty breakfasts. I'm glad we stayed two nights so that we were able to enjoy a variety of wonderful dishes!

Can’t wait to return!
Incredible find! The entry is being renovated so a little challenging at nite but... owners very friendly. Helpful & knowledgeable of home & area. Room big, cozy, FUN. Food fabulous. We’ve been traveling for weeks & this is our favorite place. Can’t wait to return.

Living in History
If you are a fan of history and like a home cooked meal, this is the place. Michelle is very knowledgeable on the history of this house and the decor is fascinating. A must stay for people who like to 'travel back in time'. The price is right to!

Very Good8.0
Good stay but could have been cleaner.
The House was beautiful itself and I understand they want to keep the old look of the house but I felt like the carpets were dirty and really old and we had a big spider make his appearance from behind the dresser so who knows how often that gets vacuumed back there. We also had a lot of river flies in the room at night that were hanging around the lamps. Harmless insects but still was kind of hard for me to sleep when the river flies were also on the ceiling hanging out. I know it's a big house but I felt like overall it could have been a little cleaner looking. Otherwise we had a nice stay and breakfast was good! I loved all the character of the place and the owner was nice!

We knew from other reviews that the outside of the house needed extensive work and was undergoing renovations. That was alright with us. We were disappointed with the condition of the inside. We know old houses are not easy to maintain and we did not expect perfection, however there was stained wallpaper and a hole in the wall in one room. The bathroom in another room had quite a bit of peeling paint and the carpet was very dirty in our guest room. The room was low priced so I guess we got what we paid for. The positive side of our stay was that the furnishings were beautiful and the food was EXCELLENT! Great baked snacks, refrig with wine and sodas, a wonderful breakfast with fruit, juice, crepes, bacon, quiche, & coffee cake. I am a clean freak so thought a better job of dusting could be done. Saw a few cobwebs. Location was in walking distance to several restaurants.
