I paid extra money and was booked for a 2 double bed with balcony , but they put me in a tiny downstairs dungeon looking room with no double beds and NO BALCONY and were very rude about it all I was so disappointed and sad because I paid extra money and was told I had the 2 double bed balcony. It’s the reason why I laid more money for this room 2 months before arriving.

Great location in Rome!
Didn't know what I would get when I booked the Suite Montecitorio, but it was a treat. Like most European rooms, it was small. There was barely room for a couple (two sisters) with bags, but the view from our hotel and location is worth every penny. We stayed in room 404 with an amazing view and small (only fit two people) balcony. The staff couldn't be nicer - especially their newest member, a young man that had been there for less than a week (I wish I would have gotten his name). Getting around the hotel was also an adventure, as the elevators were small and you had to go to different levels using both elevator and stairs to get to places. With luggage, it's a little bothersome, just something to note. The furnishings are a little dated, but the atmosphere - including the key ring - is truly old world Europe (in fact, you use actual keys to access the property). The room was clean, and the staff cleaned it while we were out exploring the city. We went in August (I know what were we thinking?!) and the air conditioner worked very well. In fact, we had to pull out the blankets! Suggest you try out Caffé Italia for meals and coffee and Venchi for gelato and chocolate just up/down the street. Easy walking distance to shopping, sights and dining. In fact, within 12 minutes we were at the Colosseum. The hotel is about 40 minutes from FCO airport, and the hotel will arrange transporation if you need it. Will book again when in Rome! Thanks for a wonderful time :)

Little slice of heaven!
The location is PERFECT. So central to almost everything you'd want to see in Rome. The hotel is adorable, with a great review of the city as well!

Great Location
We stayed at this hotel for the first 2 nights of our 10 day Italy vacation. This hotel was in the perfect spot for walking to Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Also, there are lots of shopping, restaurants, and Piazza's within steps of the hotel. Also, very near the hotel there is a taxi stop where you can find honest taxi drivers who will drive you to the airport, the train station or the Vatican. I like the proximity of the hotel.
