This was my first time at the SLS in Baha Mar. I wasn’t impressed at all. Here’s why: Service was very slow and not genuine. The staff couldn’t care less about being prompt. Upon checkin, it was as if I was checking out at a gas station for a pack of gum. No concern, no smile. The service at Fi’lia restaurant was atrocious. The female service couldn’t care less you were dinning. No personality or smiles. Not interested if we wanted dessert or coffee. Very cold and dismissive. Lunch at the the Palms: was asked for any food allergies and told them I had one allergy. Guess what. The dressing contained that allergy... Ordered appetizer, came with the meal...missing ingredients from the salad... basically nobody cares. The room: Kinda of cheap, hit my head multiple times when I was putting clothes in the drawers in the closet. The closet has a curtain and the rod hanging down to open the curtain stops half way and it’s eye level. So when you lift your body back up the rod hits your neck, every time! (I removed it) The dealers: No Personality. Basically. NY Prices for food with out the personality and service. The quality of the food was ok but the service brought down the experience. $60/night ”resort fee”. Not worth the “hype” if you think you know what a good hotel is than maybe this is for you. If you’ve ever been to a real 5* than it’s not. Check out: Was never asked how my stay was or if everything was ok. I wonder why...

Amazing suite!
I traveled with friends for a bachelorette trip and the suite we got was incredible! It exceeded my expectations, and was HUGE! It was perfect for what we needed all weekend with a large group of friends. It had 2 bedrooms (1 king, 1 with 2 queens), 2 bathrooms, a very large living room, and full kicthen. I highly recommend it!

The Service element of the SLS name was MIA
Nice property and amenities but the services were not up to par, especially for the price. It took more than 30 minutes to check in and the room was never cleaned before 4 pm, once after 8pm. At check in asked about the possibility of upgrading and was told it wasn’t possible. Stopped by the desk an hour later and asked again. A different representative accommodated our request at no additional cost!! Customer service should be consistent and exceptional at property of this caliber.

Great place.great service. Needs a commissary. Full kitchen facility in room, but no easy access to groceries. Expensive dinners were worth it, but $26 hamburgers and. $6.50 come no refills, begins to add up during a week stay.

I traveled down to the Bahamas for a friend’s bachelor party for a quick weekend. The woman that checked us in was accommodating, sweet and performed her job really well. Our trip began to go south on the date of our arrival once we sat down for dinner at Carna. We waited 2.5 hours, never received entrees, waited 45 minutes for bread, an hour in between drink ordered so we left. As we left, the manager, who had an attitude from the start hands a check to us. They did charge our room for food they never served us. I’ve personally been to the Bahamas quite a few times over the years, this experience may keep from ever coming back. It wasn’t just the dinner, it was the way we were treated after. We attempted to meet with the restaurant manager named Jacob and the hotel manager named Lee, neither were helpful. After this incident everything that was poor about this property began to stick out. One instance was the beach. We walk down to the SLS beach, no waiter service, no one servicing the lounge chairs or umbrellas. Basically just some guy handing people towels with a really poor attitude. Thanked him, didn’t even acknowledge us. We were spending money at the pool and throughout the casino, so we were extremely disappointed in everything. I would never consider this property for any occasion. I don’t like to write reviews like this normally, but I felt I had to, to inform other hardworking people of what they’re planning on spending their money and time on.
