Very Good 8.0
Ryokan located far from main attractions, but bus stop is a 4 minute walk away to still very convenient. The place is very new and modern, not sure if 100% truly ryokan experience, but the rooms were big and nice with a lot of amenities in the bathroom.

Amazing place to stay in Kyoto
What an amazing place to stay in Kyoto! The traditional Japanese ryokan rooms are extremely well-kept and have fantastic bathrooms with the big soaking tub. The rooms have traditional flat Japanese beds on the floor, but they were actually quite comfortable you know we like soft mattresses. The location is extremely convenient for many major shrines in Kyoto.

Gorgeous new ryokan
This was our first time in Kyoto and first time staying in a ryokan---we loved it. The property is gorgeous and immaculate, with an incredible garden in the back. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. We loved the aesthetic of the building and our room---so beautiful. The only downside is the location---it's a bit far from Kyoto station, so bus rides took some time and taxi rides ran around 2500Y. But it's on a very quiet street and close to several different bus lines (and temples). Would definitely recommend.

Tradition meets modern
A group of 15 of us stayed here for 5 nights. We had excellent service, amazing traditional Japanese meals that were more like artwork than food, and beautiful rooms with great amenities! It’s convenient to access by bus or taxi. Highly recommend for traditional ryokan experience with modern amenities.

Great rooms!
The Japanese style room was awesome. Great hotel room with garden view. Great bathroom finishes and products. Would go back. Just make sure to find out about food services. It wasn’t open so we weren’t able to grab drinks or dinner at the location.
