Amazing Stay for Couples!
Hotel Pod Lipkami was one of the most enjoyable stays and unique experiences we had in our 15 day trip throughout Europe. Jan went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. From uncovering the hot tub to grabbing us extra robes, he trielt offered world class service. We accidentally left our passports in the safe and he even shipped them to our next hotel at no charge. The salt rock cave is AWESOME. My boyfriend was skeptical but once he saw it he was glad he went with me. The rooms are clean and have a feel of royalty to them. Breakfast is beautiful and you can tell a lot of care goes into it each morning. I would recommend Americans to give this hotel a shot. It’s not Hilton or Marriott but this boutique hotel truly offers an experience that can’t be replicated in Prague. The employees speak English well and are so attentive that you’ll feel right at home. We wanted to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Prague. With some research I was able to find out we could take public transportation (the tram) to pretty much everywhere we wanted to go in Prague for €1 / way / person. The stop was a 10 minute walk away and most of time the tram would take us where we wanted to go within 15 minutes. There’s free parking at the hotel and don’t even bother taking a car downtown because 90% of the spots are for residents only. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Small neighborhood hotel with friendly staff
Staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel is a short walk from a convenient inexpensive tram that can take you to the city center. Lovely complete free breakfast buffet.

Clean and romantic hotel.
Really nice stay. The management was fabulous, very welcoming, extremely helpful, genuinely nice. They booked taxis and restaurants for us. Great assistance. The decoration was done with lot of taste. Very romantic. The masseur was really gifted. The bathroom was really clean but a little bit too small. There was no shelves to put a toiletry bag. We would love to go back, unfortunately the management will change soon.

checkout problems
This is my second review as we stayed one night as three people and one night after as two and therefore had to make 2 separate bookings through The rest of the review is therefore elsewhere. We had a problem with our checkout. Our room price for the 2 nights had gone up by roughly 80 euros beyond what we were told we would pay. We showed the receptionist our booking forms which clearly stated a 3 occupancy and price and a lower 2 occupancy price for the second night. The receptionist on duty didn't have the authority to accept our printed agreements. We surmised that on the previous morning I had innocently asked if, as we were staying the coming night, we should leave our things in our room or move room. I was told we could stay put, it was no problem. I was not told I would have to pay more to do so. Apparently our first night room was a more expensive one and we were then subsequently charged for the second night at a more expensive rate. Eventually after phone calls we we had the price dropped on the second night back to where it should have been. However we were still charged an additional 17 euros for a fold up bed for the first night (third person stay included in original pricing). By then we had had enough so we ended up paying twice for the bed. This has really put me off the 'pay at hotel option' when booking. Fortunately, we didn't have to catch a flight. This whole problem was a shame, as otherwise (fan problems excepted) we had enjoyed our stay.
