Charming small hotel
This charming small hotel is in an excellent position on the cliff-top overlooking the beach. In many respects our experience was very positive. One small problem was the very limited amount of parking, which can be pre-booked for a fee, but we were not aware of this so were unable to reserve a space. We booked what was described as a 'suite' for two people, expecting a good-sized room with a sitting area but in fact it was a double bedroom together with a small single bedroom and bathroom, which would probably be better described as 'family accommodation'. The room was traditionally furnished, comfortable but not luxurious and had a nice balcony, overlooking the sea and gardens. Staff were helpful, pleasant and efficient. Food in the restaurant was good at both breakfast and dinner and much produce appears to be locally sourced. The restaurant closes early, so visitors need to be prepared to eat before 8.00pm. Beach, shops and local attractions such at the town museum are all close by. We had a quiet and very pleasant stay, enhanced by the lovely weather in early August.

Perfect place to totally relax and chill.
White Lodge is a very clean modern friendly hotel. I would recommend this hotel, it is ideally located for all Filey has to offer. We were very pleased with our sea view room which was beautifully decorated and clean. We couldn't find fault with anything! The staff were really friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was gorgeous. Everything on offer was purchased from around the local area, the smoked haddock and poached eggs were delicious! We booked in for the Sunday lunch and would recommend it to anyone.

FILEY STAY
We enjoyed our 2 night stay. We were in a balcony suite which was nice and bright and faced east so good for early morning sunshine. The double bed was small at 4 foot six inches and next time we will ask for a room with a king-size which would be more comfortable. There will be a next time!

Wonderful stay in a lovely place
A lovely pre Christmas mini break - only 1 slight niggle: whilst the heating was on the room was lovely but the heating wasn’t in for long enough! Warmed up against the lovely fires in the hotel lounge! Not a complaint as such but something the hotel may like to take account of - loved our stay & food was wonderful
