An amazing stay . We will be back
This is a little Gem if a place . As soon as you arrive you can feel the quality this establishment has to offer. Thegardens leading upto the main entrance are just stunning . The outdoor spaces were lit with the glow of an outdoor fire place , creating a warm cozy area to enjoy the dusk of a spring evening. As we entered the main entrance we were created by the nicest of staff. It had felt like they had met us before the interaction felt so friendly. We enjoyed a quick drink at the bar before going to our room, the bar and restaurant area was a true designer a dream . The renovation that had happened by Sally the owner was truely unique. From fabrics , to galloping buckles, artwork, lighting and craftsmanship. So much thought had gone into the design of this and they had truely got it perfectly right. A little country styled interior with a hip modern flair. We were taken to our room named the “Litune “ the detailing in the corridors was just amazing . Like walking through a museum demonstrating the original mill features and the modern blend it now took. The room was stunning , the decor was so relaxing and cozy . The bed soft and crisp, furnished with cushions and throws. The W suite was huge. Again all brand new with the same level of detail applied to the rest of the establishment. We freshened up and went down to sample the food on offer. All of it absolutely fresh , healthy and creative . We tried the home made pork scratchings, Pork Rillet, Lamb steak,

Beautifully designed boutique hotel
A true boutique hotel- the room decor was amazing and clean. We even had a private balcony! The hotel is attached to a gastro pub with wonderful fireplaces, delicious high quality ingredients food, yummy cocktails in a lovely setting. Very romantic! The service was fab, nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful relaxing time:)

Could be so much better!
On arrival the exterior and interior of this hotel was really impressive, olde worlde charm mixed with very modern decor. The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming. Our room which was dog friendly looked very good on first impression, quirky and cosy but there the good feelings ended. I ran a bath looking forward to a soak but the water was not hot enough, I had to get my Husband to boil a few kettles of water to warm it up! The radiator in the bathroom wasn`t working. There was no chair in the room to sit on only a little stool (there was room for an armchair though). No milk on arrival for tea and coffee. Only 2 sachets of coffee and 1 sachet of filter coffee and 1 of hot chocolate for 2 people for 2 nights (this was not replenished on the second day). The carpet on one side of the bed was very damp as though it had been washed and not dried. I did tell the staff about the maintenance issues which were put right on the second day but still the bath water wasn`t hot enough. We had a meal in the restaurant on Christmas Eve which was not good, my soup was lukewarm and I am sure it was not leek and potato as ordered (pea and mint I think) and no butter for my bread. The roast potatoes were very hard and unappetising, I had 1 carrot on my plate and the jus tasted of nothing My Husband had the roast turkey which he said was okay but nothing special. We had very high hopes of a lovely stay which because of silly little attentions to detail didn`t happen.

The Litton.
Lovely helpful staff, beautiful room. Terrible food and very over priced drinks. Very loathe to refund 3 filled steaks, even though one member was told to leave it because it was so fatty. There was an incident on our last night where we were chastised by a teenage member of staff for disturbing the people next door. We were not making any noise, just chatting, but then realised we were joined to next door by a simple adjoining non fire door, with a gap so big,you could see the carpet.
