Extremely Disappointed
I chose the Imperial because of its location and unbeatable views of the Market Square. I booked a room listed as "Premium" which was advertised as having "City Views". The only difference that I could see between the "Premium" and the "Deluxe" rooms (also listed as having "City Views") was that the "Deluxe" had a proper King sized bed, whereas the "Premium" was two single beds joined together. We arrived to the hotel around 11pm, expecting a room overlooking the square with a small sitting area and a glass enclosed shower/tub. We were given a room with a view of the rooftop across the street, only 2 small side chairs and an open tub with absolutely no enclosure. I immediately called reception but was told they were booked up and had no other rooms available. We explained the situation to reception the next morning and were offered another "Premium" room just off the lobby that did have the seating area and enclosed shower, but faced the internal courtyard and had a frosted glass window! They said only the "Deluxe" have views. We couldn't have been more disappointed and felt misled. Staff didn't seem to care and offered nothing else to make us feel better about the stay. The mattress, from Ikea, was very hard and the "coffee maker" was a kettle with packets of instant coffee. There were other issues not in keeping with a 4 star hotel - missing door chain, scuffed walls and the smallest pillows ever. Might be ok if you get the view but don't count on it!!

Noisy interior courtyard
Hotel, staff, and location was great. Don’t settle for the room on the interior courtyard due to the noise from a loud exhaust fan that cycles on and off all day and night.

Hotel Imperial 5 Stars!
Imperial Hotel IS the hotel you’d want to stay at to feel like you are with family. The staff make you feel welcome as you enter for the first time. Their attention to detail and service is high caliber. They are also on the main square and in the heart of old town. The double panes glass windows help as my room faced a side street and I didn’t hear a peep from the outside. Their restaurant The Grande Mamma has very good Italian food and is convenient being downstairs. Clean, modern rooms. Welcoming and always willing to answer questions - this is the hotel to stay at. They impressed me!

Great hotel on the market square in Krakow
The Imperial Hotel is located on the market square across from Starbucks. The lobby is on the second floor. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. The room was very very nice, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower were very good. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the dining area was very nice. The location is perfect for exploring old town Krakow. I really really like this hotel.
