We loved our stay here! Highly recommended!
We stayed here the night before we were flying out of the San Jose airport. Everything was clean and comfortable, and a great value for the price. It was great to have two separate and private master suites and a kitchen. The host William and his wife were very friendly and helpful. For example, when we arrived at the airport at 6am, the couple we were traveling with thought they had left their go pro at the house, and we called and the host offered to come bring it to us (and then we found it). Even though it is in Alajuela and close to the airport, it has peaceful and beautiful views out the windows of the surrounding fields and hills. It is a like-new home, the shower was hot, the beds were comfortable, lots of nice pillows and clean linens, and the property is very secure. The wifi worked well. There is a small patio area that we played cards at. Because we left so early in the morning, we didn't eat breakfast with them, but I appreciated that it was an option, and I liked that they offered an option of a traditional Costa Rican dinner with them. I would definitely stay here again next time we are in Costa Rica.

15 minutes to the airport. A slice of paradise.
A truly beautiful bed and breakfast. Our room was very spacious with the most comfortable bed we had in over 3 weeks in Costa Rica. Fantastic facility. Wonderful little porch and peaceful patio. We watched a smoking volcano at sunup our last morning which was spectacular. Our host William was super special. He drove us to the local town and showed us the highlights to visit that day. William and his wife prepared our dinner one night full of local flavors and taste. Don't miss that treat! While sharing an after dinner beer William sat with us and gave us an "insiders view" of Costa Rica. He loves his country and his career in tourism. Perhaps our most accommodating and as gracious a host as we have ever enjoyed at a B&B. Don't miss this jewel when in the area. Can't wait to return ASAP.

Great stay.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and we loved it. It's very clean, spacious, has a large bathroom with a huge shower, 2 balconies, one overlooking the coffee plants. William is a great host! He helps you pretty much with everything you need. You can tell that William has a passion for cooking. The first night we ordered his home made dinner and it was fantastic. We had risotto, a chicken dish and a salad with strawberries and caramelized almonds. We enjoyed the option to order food from him since I didn't want to drive in the dark to find a restaurant. The place is secure and gated. I would highly recommend it!

Great place
Only a one night stay, but we would definitely stay again. Rooms were beautiful and had nice high end touches. William is very informative and if you need a tour he is one to ask. Also, he will help you order food if you want. His dad was a real pleasure to talk to. Highly recommend.

What a lovely place
Very hospitable guest house. We were greeted upon arrival and shown to our room which exceeded our expectations. The view from the veranda was breathtaking. Rita Verde House is located in the rolling hills of Alejuela with San José in a distant valley. It's location was very convenient for the airport, just 20 minutes away but completely out of site. Good delivery is available, but I would take the hosts' recommendation for Pandora's Kitchen a five minute walk down the hill. The shuttle for the airport was right on time and the trip was fairly traffic free. I'll definitely be back.
