6/10 Good

Good location, large room, impersonal staff
Our room was quite large, but had almost no windows, making it dark. The bathroom also was spacious and the shower was comfortable. Staff was generally impersonal and curt. Location near St. Stephen's Green was walking distance from many of the sights of Dublin.

2/10 Poor

I normally stay in this hotel when im in dublin but this time it was a disaster. Im a light sleeper, asked for a quiet room. There was v loud noise from nearby beer garden (i presume) till all hours of the night. The window was ineffective. I got up a few times in the night to make sure it wasnt opened. (It wasnt) as the noise was so loud. On top of that when we entered the room there were 2 ordinary fans going and the room was roasting. When i asked to move rooms the person made it out like it was my fault that i should have booked a room with aircon. They put an extra dyson fan in the room but it was so hot all night that i bearly slept a wink after the outside noise died down. No one asked me how my stat was when i checked out so i couldnt give my feedback. Worst night ever in a hotel.

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent after room change
We stayed here for three nights. The first room we were given had no air conditioning and a fan that blew warm air around. It was very stuffy. However, a call to reception and we were moved to a room with a/c. Ee gad zn excellent stay. It is in one of tfe quiter parts of Dublin, although there was a slight rumble of passing trams but this did not disturb us. The rooms were very clean and serviced daily

Beautiful hotel with some not nice placed rooms!
Ok the hotel was beautiful and clean, as always the problem is when beautiful hotels stick you in not so nice rooms. Our room was on the 1st floor at the back where all the bins are, this was during the 31 degrees heat wave and the smell was horrendous, plus the emptying of the bins at 6.45 am was very noisy, no sleep was had!

4/10 Fair

Avoid the uninhabitable "city pods."
This is a fairly attractive hotel. The problem is the "city pod" rooms they have are really not habitable. They are in the basement, have no furniture beyond a built-in bed and an ottoman (why?, no idea), and, worst of all, have hot pipes running under the floors, which can be felt through the floors and make the rooms hot and stuffy. As they are in the basement, they have only a tiny high window at street-level, which is accessible if one stands on the bed. The only way to cool the room (which has no air-conditioning) to a temperature tolerable for sleeping is by opening the window, but if one opens the window one has street, tram and nightclub noise into the wee hours. It is, then, impossible to sleep in these rooms. The service in the hotel is fine, but there's nothing the staff can do about the fact that the rooms are not really inhabitable.
