Zinho's has a great location and the staff are very kind and accommodating. We loved that it was a short walk to the beach, and the room was very clean.
It's a budget hotel, which we understood upon booking, but the pictures of the bed are a little deceiving. There are no mattresses, simply a thin pad: it was maybe 1.5-2" thick, about like a camping pad, atop a plywood board. We barely slept the first night. When we discussed it with the manager, it took about 5 hours to sort out the addition of two other sleeping pads. However, those allowed us to sleep comfortably.
The only other thing is that we tried to arrange a taxi with them, for our departure since we needed to leave at 5:30am. It was a little bit of a negotiation to get them to help us find someone (even though it says clearly at the hotel that they arrange taxis for you) however it seemed we had it settled. On our last night, we went to bed early for our early departure. At 3:30am, they called us telling us our cab was there. We reminded them that it was a 5:30am departure we requested. At 4:15am, they called again, asking if we were ready. We took the phone off the hook and shortly after 5am, heard someone knocking on our door. Needless to say, it was not the restful night we imagined. The driver then took us half way and handed us off, but we made it to the airport.
So - if you are looking for a cheap place close to the beach, then this would work. But lower your expectations ;)
