Absolutely never again.
This hotel was so worn down. They did not honor the room that we had booked. We had purchased a Deluxe King with a view since this was our first time to Kansas City and were given an unsatisfactory, weathered, double queen with a window to other rooms. We immediately went back to the front desk and asked Brian for another room. He informed us that the hotel was fully booked and he had no other rooms. The parking garage, restaurant, and place was extremely sparse. So we called hotels.com. They in turn called to the front desk and Brian said that he was the manager and that we had checked into the hotel hours ago. This is completely false. We had been there 15 minutes and had not touched anything in the room (we even have the parking garage receipt to prove it). Hotels.com said they couldn’t do anything about it and would not reimburse us. All we wanted was to have that amount of money transferred to a new booking. We left the 21c property and went and stayed at Loews Kansas City without using hotels.com and without a refund. We will not be using Hotels.com anymore. This whole trip was a long journey from Houston to The Mayo Clinic due to me having a serious heart condition. Unfortunately, the entire experience was stressful and discouraging and the property felt like a 1 star bargain motel.
