8/10 Very Good

We are satisfied with room quality and location. But the staffs are lack of enthusiasm for service. It's probably because the hotel is half owned by government. The staffs are more like public officials. The choices of breakfast are limited, although the quality is acceptable. We stayed there for 5 nights in total. The breakfast is Mongolian style. Sometimes there are grilled lamb chops and lamb kebabs. But surprisingly they offered less choices on Sunday we stayed. We hardly found any meat at all. The breakfast was almost all veggies. They even didn't offer yogurt or coffee. Probably most cooks and staffs are off on Sundays. Thus the foods are prepared cursorily. It's hard to believe there is no coffee, yogurt or meat for breakfast in a 4-star hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, but the rooms were worn and the bed was rock hard, per the asian standard.

Location is great. Lobby is somewhat not really welcoming, but rooms were large and clean, and it is a great location, walking distance to the Forbidden City.

Good for price
Good hotel for price. Disappointed they didn’t have a pillow for the pull away bed. They suggested using a (I’m sure very unclean/unwashed) chair decor pillow. Gross.

We were on a trip to visit historic sites and the room was fine for that purpose. There were not to many food options near the hotel.
