The hotel cancelled my booking by email at 2am on the morning I was due to arrive. When I arrived in Melbourne, at 9am, I tried contacting the hotel to confirm my booking. the 3 local phone numbers listed for the hotel were not long enough, and were not valid phone numbers. They also had a 1800 number listed that just gave the engaged tone every time you tried to call.
The team at Wotif assisted with finding me another hotel (thank you!), however, I spent 3 hours of my trip (only an overnight stay) trying to find somewhere to sleep!
An hour after checking in to the new hotel, Sunshine Boutique Apartments attempted to call me, but I was unavailable. They then proceeded to text message me constantly throughout the day, begging me to stay with them (even though they had cancelled my booking).... horrible experience...
