Wonderfully charming hotel with a great location in downtown Xela. Loved the mix of old charm of the old renovated building with the modern touches. Comfortable bed, tasty breakfast, good restaurant overall, and nice courtyards to sit outside in and read or work.

Some aspects were excellent like the service and cleanliness, but the main issue we had was that there was no privacy between the rooms. We could hear clearly our neighbors' entire conversations, and our first night was a difficult one because our neighbors were talking until the early AM hours. The floor consists of wooden boards so we could hear when neighbors would walk at night, loud enough to be noticiable. There was also a lot of noise from the street too late at night. We bought earplugs and installed a whitenoise app that helped mitigate the situation. The food was excellent, the room was very clean, and the staff was extremely attentive.
