This place is a little gem! It's adjacent to Ludington Dunes State Park with some of the best beaches in the country. The motel is modern and has everything you'll need including a very functional kitchenette. I plan to return for an extended stay.

A nice surprise
When we first looked at the Motel Lakewood we said "uh-oh". When we walked in we said "oh yeah!" It is so nice to have a four burner stove & oven and couple pans! I did not use them, but next time I might change what I choose to bring. Deb is great! Pass the word.

Room was clean with no unpleasant odors. Bed was not great, (either old, or new but very cheap). Kitchenette was nice and well equipped. Decor was minimal. It was very quiet. We slept well despite the beds. Only problem was check-in. The office closed at 8:00. We arrived on the ferry at 7:00 (ish). It took about 45 minutes to get our car, so we barely made it to the motel in time. Overall, though it was a pleasant experience.
