The room was perfect for our trip! We had a great view of the ocean. Our king bed was comfy. The room was very large with a small kitchenette with a table and benches yo sit at. Couch was comfy. Used the pull out couch for extra sleeping accommodations. It was a wonderful RELAXING vacation (even though hurricane Bertha was making her way into the gulf. Will definitely be coming back to this location!

The location is fresh and the staff is lovely. The room doesn’t have any frills to it- housekeeping only cleaned room before we came and after we left. The pool also could have used cleaning. That to say- we would definitely come back. It was quaint and what we were looking for.

The only thing I knew visiting St.George Island was that the Buccaneer was the only waterfront hotel. Once i got there, you can see why. The entire structure is concrete block. It has withstood every hurricane that has hit the panhandle since it opened. The pool area has ample lounge chairs and is nice and clean. There’s also an upper deck with shade. It was great and I will definitely be back.
