Hotel Witkowski, Warsaw

The hotel was fine: clean, quiet and comfortable. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast in the restaurant was average. Dinner in the restaurant was below average. Service was slow despite it not being busy, menu descriptions did not match food served, they were out of things and some items were over cooked. The surrounding area was not too impressive.

I was really very pleased. I stayed for 5 nights. Breakfast OK, Dinner in the evening OK! Asking for the service for bus shedules and taxi at the desk I got fast and very accurate information. The bus station to the PTAK fairground (I am a reporter) was less than 300 metres from the hotel. The tram to the city was in front of the hotel. I ate mostly in the restaurant of the hotel at very fair prices, good food and fast and excellent service. What I liked most, is that my towels were not changed when I left them at the hanger to dry. I stayed in many hotels and notwithstanding the information in the bathrooms that if you don't want clean towels, you should leave them on the hangers for the benefit of the environment it was changed every day. This is the first hotel that keeps it promises and follows your wish, ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!! I was also nicely surprised how quiet it was in the rooms, no sounds from corridor or neighboring rooms. The price is very fair. Close to the airport is great too. Only if you wish to visit the city you need to take public transport, taxi or you own car. But taxis are cheap as are bus and tram and the hotel is easy to find on one of the main roads leading to town.

Pros This was a really nice place to stay. The trams to the city centre stop right outside the door although check instaffknowledge on how to use was vague Food was good if you didn't want to go out. Cons Although the hotel is on the airport perimeter, there is no direct public transport access to the terminals other than a taxi. Thought parking at 25 Zloty was expensive for the underground car park when I was staying there and only had to use it because all the free spaces were full.

Hotel was easy to locate. A couple of supermarkets and fast food chains nearby. Parking out front was limited due to a function that was happening but they have an underground parking garage that we were able to use. The room did its job, everything was clean and tidy. The service from the staff was excellent. I went with three different queries, all of which could have been difficult but they accommodated me with ease. I would recommend

Has aircondition. Really is only a ‘1 night stay’ kind of room. No coffee pot. Small TV. Has air condition. We could hear room above us walking around so has thin floors or person above us stomp their feet when they walk. Nothing is close and need to book taxi to get to airport. Inexpensive choice if you need to stay near airport for early flight.
