A good hotel in a good location
We would recommend the Glan Aber Hotel. Friendly welcoming staff, bunk house is excellent value, washing facilities are perhaps too communal. The breakfast was good and excellent value. The evening meal was homemade and well prepared and comes recommended. Good parking in the hotel car park and in the street running behind the hotel. Would we stay again - yes.

Clean and Tidy but very Basic
We stayed at the Glan Aber Hotel as we planned a trip to climb snowdon. The bunkhouse is the smallest room i've ever stayed in. It literally has a bunk bed and a window. If you don't like small spaces you should not stay here. Other than the size of the room I found the facilities to be good enough and the shower was pleasant. All in all I didn't realise we weren't staying in the main hotel and for the money I would have thought this would have at least got us a telly in the room and a towel to take a warm shower.

A review....
Booked this hotel as needed somewhere close to Mount Snowdon to stay and didnt want to spend alot of money as it was only the night we was spending. We slept in the bunker on bunk beds, room was small but expected for price, arrived quite late but good communication with hotel meant it wasnt an issue. Had a pleasant nights sleep, and had some breakfast in morning. There was a decent option, even for me who eats halal. The staff were lovely, pleasant and very welcoming. If i climb Snowdon again, id stay here the night again. For those who appreciate heritage and beauty, the building is a beautiful old Victorian property with plenty of character.

You need to go to Betws-Y-Coed, Glan Aber is a gem
I had never been to Betws-Y-Coed before. I traveled to UK for a vacation and with the desire to climb Mount Snowdon. This was a great base to do it from. I visited in early December. VERY affordable, room was small but everything I needed. Hot shower, bed. Facility overall was very nice as well. It's close to everything. Bus and Train within 2 minutes walking. If you like outdoor grear, there are 5 gear stores in town! Hotel/BB has bar, two dining areas. Breakfast was good. Dinners were reasonably priced and good. There are also other options in town. Staff was fantastic. They have a drying room for the Snowdon aftermath (wet gear). Free WiFi
