Very Good 8.0
Nice apartment ,great location, lots of stairs!
The apartment was very nice. Very clean, great location, able to walk to train station, Duoma, Academia where the David is, the main bridge, many shops and restaurants. Had a very nice size kitchen and one bedroom was very spacious, the other was fine. The woman who helped us was very nice. We called her she met us at the apartment in less than 5 minutes. She walked us up the many flights of stairs to our apartment, even helped carry luggage. She checked us in quickly and asked if we had any questions. We really had no further problems that we needed to contact her about. Overall it was a very nice place to stay. The value for what we got and what we paid was good we thought. Couldn’t ask for a better location. There were two drawbacks that you may want to consider when renting- decide if they are important to you or they really don’t matter. One, is the very very tiny shower. The bathroom itself was fine, just the shower, barely big enough to turn around in and I am an average sized woman. The second is the 79 steps you had to go up to get to the apartment. These were not just nice gradual steps they were quite steep cement stairs. I work out regularly and by the time I reached the top I was out of breath and my legs were burning. Same thing for the other 3 in my party. There is no elevator , carrying the luggage up the first day was quite a challenge. It did get easier each time, but it is something older and less physically active renters should consider.

Charming apartment in perfect location
The apartments was perfect and exactly as described. It was a great “home base” for me, my husband and our two teenage daughters. Our hosts were very helpful. We were met to assist with finding the apartment and then taken in and shown around. The furnishings were charming and the kitchen had everything we needed. The airconditioning worked well (a plus, especially for my husband because our trip was in July). We enjoyed watching tv and some of our favorite American shows dubbed in Italian. Like all of Europe, you do have to navigate some narrow stairs, so just come with your patience. The location couldn’t be beat. It’s a short walk to the Duomo, all major museums and Ponte Vecchio. And there is a grocery store behind it with everything we needed. I would suggest getting a Firenze pass. There are so many museums to see and we wouldn’t have made it into half of them if we didn’t have the pass. And of course, the skip the line helps maximize your time! All in all, it was a perfect trip and if I’m ever back in Florence (fingers crossed), we would rent this apartment again.

Great location and studio
We stayed in the studio apartment on the top floor with the terrace, and it was perfect. The building is about 600 years old, so the stairs are steep and there is no elevator. We could see the dome of the Duomo from the terrace and had drinks there one night. My husband wants to comment that the shower is small, as in 2.5 by 2.5 feet. It’s all good, just don’t expect a big shower.
