    Ridiculous service from Hyatt Place Bangkok
    I chose the new Hyatt Place Bangkok from the trust on the branding of the Hyatt Group Hotels. But I received ridiculous treatment from a Wrong accusation of damaging the pillowcase with penalty charge by leaving a letter in the room to me at night during my stay. I requested the Hotel Guest Manager Mr Joey to examine the pillowcase with me in person right in the early morning on the next day I had received their letter. He just checked all pillows casually and confirmed OK and took away their letter. He even asked me if I have changed the pillowcase and washed my hair! I told him we were talking about a pillowcase and I really could not accept this kind of wrong accusation and service from a Hyatt Hotel! So I requested for a letter apology as a written proof of their ridiculous act to hotel guest like me. However, they didn't pass me the letter of apology on my check out time until I asked for it before leaving! I am not sure if it is a odd incident to unlucky me or it is their usual practice of doing business. But I am very sure this is my First & Last time of visit to Hyatt Group Hotels.

    disappointing front desk staff
    we are still happy with the check-in and the connecting room arrangement. however, we are not really happy with the knowledge of the staff when check out. i already sent email to confirm i can store my luggage in hotel when we went to Huahin and we will stay in same hotel after. when we check out on that day and asked the staff for luggage storage, he don't feel happy with that, he asked how many pieces of luggage, we told him 3 luggages and his face looked like so shocked! looks like not willing to help! apart from that, we asked the staff if is available, can he arrange us for connecting room when we back? his face looked annonying and said" wait! i have to fix the luggages" (OMG! why can't u fixed after we leave? and all of us are watching u to find route and fixing it) and finally he back to computer and search for "room for same floor" for us and no result for his search(his is too slow).(we are asking for connecting room, not same floor! i understand room availability, u may just remarks it and that's all.) i am really disappointed with the staff ability. (that staff didn't put his name on the jacket) The room is not big, so dark at night cos not much light in the room. but really clean. and they provide USB charger.

    Family stay... Nice but nothing special.
    Nice room, very clean. Only dirty thing the none slip rubber mat which had damp mold. Mini fridge was empty & didn't stay cold. TV in room a little odd & not child friendly, corners of TV were eye level of my daughter. Beakfast selection is ok, went at rush hour 9am, we expected to be busy. We had a group of 3 adults, 1 child. was seated at a table for 2, Lady seemed helpful said she'd bring a high chair & extra seat. Went to get food came back 7-10 min later, no extra seats. Decided to go outside. Min staff for amount of guests, had to walk back inside to find cutlery and napkins, 2nd day was better. Used phone in room once to ask for some cutlery to eat some food my wife went out for. This seemed too much trouble, was told to go down stairs to get it. Visited aire bar for a few drinks, ordered a couple of beers and two non-alc cocktails. I went back to the room to get a fruit for my daughter 3yrs. After around 15min a lady came & told us the fruit is not aloud then picked up the container & said we could get it when we check the bill. I was shocked as she just started walking away without waiting for a response. I called her back and told her I would keep it in the bag, then she handed it back. This is a casual out side bar, only 4 customer at 5pm. Lady had an unpleasant attitude. After this we checked the bill straight away. Thoughts... For the price I'd expect more. To be honest didn't feel very welcome or well looked after, everything was just ok

    Well located but faulty design & noisy ventilation
    We booked a standard room for our babymoon vacation in Bangkok and although we requested a quiet room, we ended up sleeping with ear plugs as a very disturbing humming sound kept coming out of the ventilation even when turned off. We asked the reception to have it checked by someone and two men came to our room instantly. They tried to fix the ventilation by opening the ceiling and moving some things, but in the end they couldn't fix anything and as they didn't speak English, they didn't understand what was wrong. Also, due to the faulty design: 1) The rooms are very dark. 2) The TV is fixed on the side of the room, so you have to turn your head whether you're lying on the bed or sitting on the opposite sofa. 3) There is no proper desk in the room. 4) There is no mirror except in the entrance: not convenient when putting on makeup in the morning. 5) Low water flow in the shower. Cleanliness - brand new hotel opened in October 2017 so the rooms are immaculate with a modern design. Personnel - friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast - simple but good: cereals, pastries, toasts, yogurts, dim sum, rice porridge, fruit juice, coffee, tea, etc. Amenities - the pool is not big but has a great view. The bar was still under construction end of November.

    Comfortable & clean, great breakfast, near BTS
    We booked this hotel in mid October when they just launched for a month or so. There were no reviews for reference. We were apprehensive but the stay turned out to be nothing short of amazing. The smell of new furnishing and fixtures were still present. The staffs are very friendly & always smiling! Our room is quite big, clean & comfortable.Only shower toiletries were provided however, you can request for free shower caps, toothbrush etc. from the lobby. The breakfast spread is great! Love the thai noodle station! There's also rice porridge (congee) and the usual English breakfast stuffs. Decent selection of pastry & fruits (changes daily). Can i say the muffins are amazing? Moist on the inside & it does not crumble. There's a 7-11 just across the street. It is about 3 minutes walk to Phrom Phong BTS. Emporium and Em Quatiers shopping malls are linked to the BTS. Em Quatiers has a huge selection of restaurants at level 6-9 and a food hall with a variety of street food + supermarket at the basement. Great place to go if you're looking for decent food after arrival & check in. If there's one thing to improve on, it would probably be the water filter system. The water looks clean but it had a muddy smell & tasted bad when we rinsed our mouth. Had to buy drinking water from 7-11 to rinse. We understand that this is something that plague most of the hotels along Sukhumvit Road. Perhaps provide bottles of drinking water in the bathroom like some hotels we stayed previously.
