European-style room at a great price
Lovely room (bathroom down the hall, no tv but that is fine with me), ideal location, great price and great staff. The soundproofing within the hotel meant it was quiet at night, even though there were people in other rooms around me. My only issue was with the construction next door that started up very early in the morning. It is not under the hotel's control and is part of being in a city, but it did impact my stay.

No TV, but the free Wifi was strong. The place is old and interesting and a little quirky, in a good way. The valet parking is a bit odd as it is not the hotel's valet. He couldnt give me change when I wanted to pay cash for the fee. It gave me pause at first, but was fine in the end when i paid by credit card.

Just like home in the city.
Amazing dining all around, very friendly staff. Great lounge area that had a nice fireplace going on a chilly morning.

shared a bathroom
Without actually realizing it, I booked a room with a shared bath. It actually worked out very well once the shock wore off. I wish the bathroom had more counter space, but beside that, no real complaints. I liked the free wifi, and got used to no tv. The $15 food credit covered breakfast in the restaurant, which was a nice perk. More lighting in the room would have been nice also, and some power strips would have been appreciated to charge devices. It's a gorgeous inn, and I would go back again, probably even sharing a bathroom since the price was right.

Stepping out of the norm
The euro vibe was life. I enjoyed the antique look & appearance, especially the interior design & artwork. Sharing washrooms with complete strangers grew on me, but I'd still prefer my own. No elevators was also a surprise, but the one staff member working the registration desk was nice enough to assist me with bringing my luggage up and down. I was upgraded to a room where there were less people to share a washroom, 400 and I absolutely loved it. It was spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable and my view was everything. There won't be a TV or iron in the room, just a heads up. There are very very thin walls if you know what I mean, but I overall had a pleasantly relaxing stay. I was blown away and couldn't stop snapping and telling friends about it. I appreciated the storyline of the building and its history so I will definitely be visiting again and bringing someone along. You should too!
