Exceptional 10.0
Wonderful place to stay in DC. Not for disabled
Lodging and food are amazing. You get a $15 food credit every day. I recommend the risotto and filet steak, as well as whatever fresh seafood they have that day. Really can’t go wrong with the menu. Only downside is they have no facilities for handicapped or disabled folks. No elevator, etc. so look elsewhere if you fall into this group. I’ll recommend the POD hotel on H street if so. Also very nice, two Good restaurants, just a couple blocks from Wizards and Capitals games at the Arena.

Historical ambiance and wonderful restaurant. Room very cold and staff a bit chilly too.

Totally Original!
A wonderful spirit of the 18th century with an atmosphere unmatched for charm and television! Thank God! Go and experience something unique with a first-class restaurant!

Lovely and quirky boutique hotel
We stayed here celebrating our anniversary and loved it. The reception staff worked to get us into our room early while we waited in the sitting room with a cocktail. We love the decor, with wood paneling, coffered ceilings, quirky artwork, antique sofas and settees. Our room was a queen with private bath (some rooms have shared baths), and again, we just loved the way it was decorated. Great colors, antique furniture, plenty of space. Our bed was comfortable and we had a short bathtub, which was plenty deep enough for taking a bath, and despite being about ten feet up, the shower was good. We had our dinner at the restaurant and our food and service were both wonderful. We frequently visit the D.C. area and will definitely stay at the Tabard Inn again.

A Blast from the Past
This is a lovely historic hotel consisting of two buildings put together to create the hotel with historic furniture and fixtures and no television (except for one brought in to watch the World Series). The chef in the restaurant is excellent and we dined there every day we were there (either breakfast, lunch, or dinner).
