Autobahn out the front .
I stayed in 2 rooms in this place . One was at the rear and was pretty ok noise pollution wise .. The front wasn’t . Reason being ? The end of the Bundesautobahn 9 is outside !!! I didn’t sleep well at the front side . Ok stay other than that .

shocking, tried and angry
I booked 2 rooms at SmartMents Munich. Due to Lufthansa Flight delay, i checked in 1 day late. I wrote (e-mail) to Smartments about my flight delay but no respond at all. After all, these room were charged. due to the delay flight and some hassle at car rental, I arrived hotel at ~2:30am, and i was only managed to get assistant about 2:45am as entrance door was locked. I was assigned room 202 and room 204. When i entered to room 204, i was shocked -> a family was sleeping inside. The front desk has gone back. My family has to squeeze in the room 202, and i'm curious why my room 204 has been occupied by other people? and I pay for that? We were not able to rest ….now 6am, still no one at front desk.

Pleasant place
I was at a conference and it was convenient that the hotel was between the conference center and the city center. There are tram and subway stations within 10-15 min walk. The room was modern, clean and well lit. However, it was facing a busy street and I had to use ear plugs. The rooms don't have daily service and stores are closed after 8pm - since conference schedule was quite intense, this made getting simple supplies inconvenient. The front desk lady wasn't very helpful and ignored my request for additional supplies, but later I encountered the cleaning staff and they were very kind and gave me what I needed right away. The instructions for using the washer and dryer were insufficient in English, but I figured it out eventually with a phone translation. Overall, my stay was pleasant.

Decent lodging. Unhelpful and unfriendly staff.
The location is very business oriented, in a business park with lots of corporate buildings. Convenient enough to two stops on the U6. The room was small but efficient. Decor was modern and clean. Appreciated having a kitchenette with utensils and cookware. The front desk service is shockingly unpleasant--if anyone is even there to begin with. No one smiles or greets you. Check-in and check-out is very perfunctory but no one bothers to give you helpful information unless you ask. Half the time you visit the front desk, there is no one around. Sometimes the staff is in the office off to the side adn you can hear and see them but they don't bother to come out and ackowledge you until after several minutes of standing around. You have to ask every single question you can think of because no one is going to volunteer simple things like: is there a grocery store nearby or where is the gym? Great that they have dishwashing liquid and sponges to wash dishes but no bath soap or shampoo??? Totally senseless.
