Cute!
Cute little motel on busy street across from a “good vibe” cemetery. Despite busy street it was quiet at night. The grounds were overgrown with weeds during stay and there was dog poop in quite a few places that had not been picked up. They do have several areas to sit outside but when I went to do so the cushions and areas were dirty, had waterlogged outdoor bar area, overgrown dog area, and was not inviting. Inside the cottage it was very clean and I had a comfortable bed which was awesome. The chairs inside my cottage at my cute little dining table had bottomed out cushions so were uncomfortable to sit in. I would stay here again especially if I had my dog with me.

Absolutely Wonderful!
Our cottage was absolutely wonderful! It was immaculately clean and felt so welcoming! We had everything we needed and more. The owner, Tony, was an amazing host! He was hands-on, greeted us when we arrived, and went over and above to make sure we were comfortable. He provided suggestions for restaurants and attractions, and was genuinely invested in the success of our visit to Grass Valley. The next morning, he provided a lovely complimentary breakfast that he delivered right outside our room. We are super excited about our next trip to the area, and have already booked our next stay at The Pines Motel and Cottages!

A little gem. Nice vibe
Friendly staff, phone number pirates on the office door to check in. Manager came right to the room and showed us around. In the morning we were provided with 2 yoghurts, 2 bagels, some butter, cream cheese, and jam, and some half and half creamers. Room had a kitchenette stocked with ground coffee, olive oil and spices, various Bigelow teas, Brita pitcher with water in fridge, coffee maker, stove, sink, and refrigerator. Main room had a very comfortable bed with quality linens and good med height pillows. Did not hear and neighbors. Charming low key thoughtful decorated little gem. Will return.
