    Recent stay at Residence Inn

The service, room and staff were very accommodating . Every time I spoke to someone at the front desk they were very pleasant. We were disappointed that there were no formal dining facilities but assume it was dictated by covid. The room was spacious and very clean but 3 light bulbs were out. It was advertised that a hot breakfast was available but only coffee and oatmeal were hot. I was surprised to see signs everywhere at breakfast warning that guests could only take one. One juice, one milk, one small container of cereal, one bag to take the food to the room. In my opinion this was the least appealing about our stay. When we checked out there was seemingly only one luggage cart available and was told we would have to wait up to 15 minutes for the cart. I took 2 trips and carried the luggage to the lobby myself. We stayed at the the Residence Inn because it was close to Johns Hopkins where my husband had surgery. The shuttle was very convenient.

very convenient to JH hospital but average

stayed there one night because of an early hospital visit the next day. very convenient to Johns Hopkins and other health centers in the area (walking distance to KKI). was a second stay. Room was alright but showed signs of wear. throw pillows, couch. and towels had old stains on them (looked like nail polish or discoloring, not dirt). traces on the bathroom walls not enough blankets for the bed in November. given the price, it's outrageous that the room does not come with free protected wifi and free parking.

Nice hotel, needs more food options.

The hotel was clean and staff was very courteous. The walk to Johns Hopkins children's hospital was about 10 mins each way and the streets were safe with a police officer on each corner. My only issue is lack of food. The hotel bar was the only place to order food an we were told we would get a call in our room to pick up the food from the bar when ready. Great, we'd worked all day, traveled 3 hours to get there and we were hungry so this was a great option. Plus we needed to be up at 4:30am for the hospital (the reason for our stay). Finally 2 hours after ordering, and on my 2nd trip down to check on the food, it is now 8:30pm, I was told they ran out of crab cakes and he said he thought he told me. So at 8:30pm we are at 7-11 getting convenience food for dinner because we were too exhausted to wait for takeout. That is my only complaint. The hotel breakfast was nice but there was no other food to get quickly in the area other than 7-11. Day 2 we ate hospital food court bc we didn't want to get back to the hotels an order food with the same results.

    Not following their own rules.

Booked this stay because of their Covid-19 policy of everyone must have a mask inside the building, however all guests were wearing mask, but the Bartender was not the night i when to get a drink to take back o room. Next morning while riding elevator to pickup breakfast food service men from roof top had no mask while in elevator. Valet parking is $32.00 per night you can park across street at Johns Hopkins Garage for $15.00 ( or if you are using the Hospital get a discount ticket book and pay $7.00 per day.
