Very happy with stay. 3 small irritations.
Excellent experience for us. An excellent price. Excellent location. Very clean and safe. Excellent breakfast. Downsides: 1. The layout of our bathroom was a little odd, with no hooks or even a shower rod for hanging up towels. 2. The shower floor didn't drain to the drain--we had to push water toward the drain. 3. Evening wi-fi was unreliable. But these three items were small irritations--overall we were very happy with our stay, and especially at such a reasonable price. I would definitely go back.

Fisrt disappointment with City Express
During my stays in Mexico I’m always using City Express for their great price/quality ratio. However, this seems not to be applicable to the one in Mexico City at Alameda. The building and moreover the rooms are old and need an extensive makeup. The personnel serms not to be really motivated and in a couple of sutuation, their “body language” was not exactly speaking about courtesy and willingness to adhere to customer needs. Probably a short course on customer care would not be a bad idea.

Stay somewhere else
Noisy, dirty, lots of light coming into the room because of the glass shower stall and large window facing the street. Walls are paper thin. So, you can hear everything on the floor and all the noise from the city as well. The room was very dirty, and the maid only came at 5pm after I asked the front desk to send one up. She just made the bed but didn't clean anything. Horrible place. Cheap motel (good for a very short stay and a quickie, but not much else).

Centro Histórico!
The breakfast is not interesting but the location is great, you are 1.5 block from the Alameda Central and other touristic attractions!
