Wonderful Hotel
Wonderful Location! All the employees very friendly. Good food, coffee and fresh juices. I loved this hotel. Don’t miss the chance to make a reservation. I filled in home.

really great
These guys are amazingly cheerful and incredibly helpful! They help you with everything, it’s like staying with family! If you need something- they’ll send a runner/ bellhop down the street to pick it up for you. Great spirit- great vibe. Would stay here again in a second. And by the way... it’s like 200 yards from the pyramid entrance.

The only good thing is the view
I had great expectations when I booked Great Pyramid Inn, but it was disappointing to me. The only good thing I had in my stay was the view of the pyramids from the hotel. However, I had many bad issues during my stay: 1) I booked the room for 2 adults and 2 kids (this option was avaiable at Hotels.com). When I arrived at the room, there was only 1 extra bed. So I went to the front desk and they told me the room fits only 1 extra bed and they asked me if my 2 kids could sleep in the same extra bed (single bed). Of course I denied it. So they offered me a bigger room, but only for the next day. My lucky was that we travelled with other relatives and 1 of my kids could sleep in my brother in law's room. 2) In all of the 3 days of our stay, the water of the shower began hot for 5 minutes, then it was cold. As we were in the winter, it was very bad! 3) In the first 2 days, a lot of water acumulated in the shower box, flooding to the rest of the bathroom. I had to ask in the front desk a maintenance to fix it. 4) In the first day, I asked in the front desk for cleaning in my room while we were touring in the city. When we arrived in the room at night, there was no cleaning! They simply forgot to do the cleaning. 5) In the second day, my relatives' rooms were out of energy for a couple of hours, due to a maintenace in the building. Or the staff in this hotel is amateur or I had a bad luck during my stay! For my experience, I would not recomend it anyway!

Very Good 8.0
Great for Giza
Giza is not the best neighborhood (no fault of the hotel). Dogs barked all night, and woke up to the blaring call to prayer at 5am. The distance to the pyramids is great. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Great bang for your buck.

Poor 2.0
They stole $200 of my money
I had nothing bad to say about this hotelup until the moment that they tried to steal $200 from me via my bank card on the last night I was there. They charged me 200 EGP for my last meal there at the restaurant but I also noticed that 5 mins after that they had charged my card for $200 USD. I was able to catch them because I always check my bank statement online. I demanded that they refund me my money in USD cash right that moment which they did after about a 20-30 min wait for them to retrieve the money. I was highly disappointed that they would treat me like so. I only stayed there because of their high ratings (which I shared with them) and was excited to be able to add another high rating for them but was denied. They need to understand that people work hard for their money, as they should do also. And just because someone is from America DOES NOT give them the right to feel that they can steal their money because they think they are wealthy. Having integrity, discipline and hard work is what puts you on the path to having the success that you want, NOT BEING A THIEF. They seemed pretty embarrassed once they realized that they had been caught but I don't know of they were remorseful at all. I will NEVER stay here again and I would only recommend staying there at all at your own risk and if you pay for EVERYTHING in THEIR CURRENCY.
