The Trinity is a nice historic hotel with a good downtown location. The staff was pleasant, room was clean, well appointed, and upgraded. Couple of quirks is that three is no direct access to the downstairs portion of the hotel and you have to walk outside to access the front desk and restaurant. This was problematic when it was windy and cold, fortunately it didn't rain. There also isn't an ice machine on the floor so you need to go down and outside to get ice. You also are not able to control the temperature in your room. The thermostat in my room was shared with the room next door and had instructions not to touch for this reason. So if you are hot/cold you can't make adjustments. Also, my room #204 was over the kitchen and the kitchen exhaust system (torture if you are hungry and a bummer when the kitchen staff was boisterous.
The restaurant was good, though one meal sucked - their signature chicken lasagna with green chili sauce had dry chicken. They offered a free dessert but wasn't in the mood for sweets. You also couldn't put your meal on your room tab. Finally, they have a really nice bank vault that was converted into a cigar humidor. Trouble is there is no place on the property where you can comfortably smoke a cigar (I smoked mine off the fire escape).
Overall a nice place and I would stay there again.
