Exceptional 10.0
This was my wife’s and I second stay at the Roundout Inn. It is wonderfully located and has everything you need to enjoy a home away from home trip. The owners could t be more accommodating. We plan to come back again and again.

A Fine Place to Stay in Kingston
I stayed at the Rondout two weekends in a row to attend a music festival at nearby Bard College. The Rondout characterizes itself as a boutique hotel/inn with four rooms. I stayed in the smallest of the four, a large room with a bathroom but not a kitchen. It was very comfortable, and the owners were friendly and helpful. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance and others a relatively short drive away, and the location is convenient to getting to attractions in the Catskills and the Hudson River valley. The only negatives are that you have to arrange a specific time for the owners to let you in (i.e. you can't just "check in" when you arrive), and you can hear the people in the room above you.

Definitely Do
The designer's eye is obvious here! Not only is it a visual dream but also doesn't disappoint in terms of comfort and friendly service. The owners are gems and happy to offer information. Good hikes and lovely restaurants nearby-even within a short walk. Thumbs up!

The property owners/managers are by far among the most friendly and welcoming I've met. The accommodations are excellent and my family and I felt very much at home.
