    Great Location on the River

Loved the location right on the River Dee. Restaurant & Bar were terrific. Room was spacious and bathroom beautifully up-to-date. Bed was comfy. Wi-fi was very good. Our unit was downstairs, and very close to parked cars with their headlights rather bright at night when the bar closed. We couldn't use the wool black-out drapes because we happened to be there for the hottest day of the year and the only ventilation was a small window in the corner where the drapes pulled back (no A/C). A big fan was provided and we put it by the small window. If you're staying on forecasted hot days, try to reserve an upstairs unit which have sliding doors for improved airflow and which would minimize car headlights. Overall, a great place to stay.

    Perfect location and service.

Perfect location and great service. The staff could not be more helpful. Parking easy and amenities good. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms a little tired but perfectly ok. The only slight downside is the room temperature which was a little on the hot side but overall it was great and we would stay again.

September sunshine in a wonderful location.

The staff, in particular Mike and Emily, were absolutely amazing - So friendly and helpful. Breakfast and all other meals were good, albeit very substantial, and the actual location was fabulous, being on the banks of the river Dee and watching the rowers slicing through the water. Only reservation was that the hotel needs a little maintenance and TLC. In our room the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall and we had a problem with the hot water in the shower turning cold. We also requested instant coffee sachets for the tea and coffee making service, but were provided only with cafetière coffee. All in all though it was a fabulous stay.

Don’t stay in the old part of this hotel!

The rooms in this guest house are mainly modern purpose built rooms, however we were in the old original part of the building…don’t stay in this part!!! We were in room 3 and despite it being a fair temperature September evening, the room was like a furnace! Such an uncomfortable nights sleep despite leaving the single window open and having the fan on all night. Getting ready in the morning wasn’t much fun either, so hot! You could feel heat from the floor below when walking barefoot. Also, this part of the hotel really smells of damp with it being such an old building. Service lovely and rooms well equipped so would stay again…but request the modern rooms!

    Good situation

Friendly and helpful staff, free parking, stylish and clean room with good bathroom. Perfextly situated. A bit hot because south facing with only a small openog window, but a big electric fan (also stylish) made it comfortable.
